Judoist Champion From Pankisi

Beqa Machalikashvili is a  Judoist from Pankisi in Georgia. He’s in the 10th grade and is a student of the Access Microscholarship Program at Roddy Scott Foundation.

Beqa started doing Judo in 2016. His brother took him to the gym and here begins his career. He started to work out hard in this sport and showed a big interest in it. After about 6 months of doing Judo, he had the first competition, but he didn’t win it. Because of Beqa’s love for the sport, he didn’t give up here and started to work on himself to solve all the problems that he had while fighting in Judo. From the second competition, he starts to show good results and wins first place several times.

Because of his good results, he was able to fight in different countries. He has fought twice in Azerbaijan and once in Russia, Armenia, and the Netherlands. From 2016 Beqa took part in about 60 competitions. He has 28 first place, 4 second, and 6 third places. It’s a very big reach that 15 years old Judoist has 48 diplomas, 38 medals, and 15 cups.

The most important competition was on 19 February 2022. It was the Georgian Championship, where Beqa won first place and became a member of the Georgian Judo team.

He plans to fight in Croatia on 19th March 2022. Beqa’s dream is to be a worldwide champion.
